Pictures...

... Will be coming soon! :D I've got quite a bit finished. It's just been a matter of getting a new space set up for taking pictures of the finished products. I've cleaned up an area though and it seems workable, so I'll be getting some new shots up soon.

Avengers and Kobolds!

So, since I missed updating last weekend, I'm going to post up both the Dire Avengers and Kobold Gougers today. ^_^

First up: Super Dungeon Explore Kobold Gougers

Not too much to say about the Kobold Gougers. Tried a couple of different colours to see which one I liked more. Still not sure on that. :D So I'll probably end up going half and half, the Spawn Points are different anyway. XD

Now, the Dire Avengers for Warhammer 40k.

Fun story behind these guys. I picked them up at a used miniature sell thing for 5$. I didn't realize until much (much) later that the guy had used Plastic Glue on them, so no luck at getting them taken apart to paint up properly.

So, I tried to paint them in my Craftworld's colours as they were and... Well, it didn't go so well. Too much in the way to get to details and such... But then I had an idea! I would paint them up as Wraithbone statues and use them as objective markers! Or terrain pieces! Or if I -need- to, use them as proper models!

Thus, the idea of an entirely Wraithbone army got into my head. It's a project that I'll continue to work on if I find cheap, used models. If I do then I'll probably go back and add some colour to a few of the soulstones.

Next Up:
1: ANIMA: Tactics - Lynn Steiner
2: Super Dungeon Explore - Glimmerdusk Ranger
3a: Super Dungeon Explore - Kobold Knuckleheads -OR-
3b: Malifaux - Mature Nephilim -OR-
3c: Warhammer 40k - Wave Serpent and Falcon

SDE: Hearthsworn Fighter

Meant to post this up last weekend, oops!

I'm fairly pleased with him. Could've done better on the steel, but it's not too terrible. ^_^

I should be finished with my Dire Avenger statues in a couple of days and I'll get those put up shortly thereafter.

On the Painting Table:
* 6 Kobold Gougers for Super Dungeon Explore.
* Lynn Steiner for Anima: Tactics

Anima Tactics: Morrigan

I've been looking forward to Morrigan for Anima: Tactics ever since she was first spoiled a few years back. She was finally released in December (of 2011) and I got my hands on her and... promptly had a bunch of other things come up.

I tried to paint her up twice before this last time.
 * First time, she was completely assembled, and I couldn't get to her underside or the base well enough.
 * Second time, I assembled part of her, but then found I couldn't finish assembling her after painting was done.
 * Third time though, I painted almost every piece separately. @_@ She's finished though, woo!

I might go back and hit Morrigan's human parts with another layer of Matte varnish, since it seems like it didn't really get there.

Super Dungeon Explore: Spawn Points

Technically, I finished these before I even started the blog, but meh! Meh I say!

Not too much to say about them I don't think. The Kobold Spawn Points are different since two of them were done with a Devlan Mud wash, while the other two were done with a Sepia wash since I wanted to try a couple different techniques for bone. I personally prefer the Sepia-Washed ones, myself.

Up next: Pictures of Morrigan from Anima: Tactics should be up in a couple of days, as well as my current painting rotation plans.

A general introduction and plans.

Hello all!

Granted, no one's really reading this right now, but why not? Plus, a test post for the blog. *shrugs* Shut up! Stop laughing!

So, this shall be my gaming blog! I shall talk of subjects related to games and gaming. For the most part, this is just going to be a painting blog, with the occasional post about other tabletop gaming subjects. I might even touch on some videogame subjects as well, but probably not as much as tabletop gaming (RPGs, wargames, etc).

So what's in store in the future? Aside from the above? Well, I'll be posting up a photo of some completed work.
